Common topic of discussion, but I've got some questions:
Why do we bother? Some people say that it's practice for marriage, and some say that dating is the process during which you find the person that you're going to marry. I happen to disagree with both. I think that dating is something that you do with someone you find attractive in an effort of finding out if they are as attractive on the inside as they are on the outside. This is rarely the case as we are all still human and everyone has flaws that aren't readily visible. So why do we bother? Because being alone sucks. That's all.
I bring this up because I have a date on Thursday night, and I'm just ruminating about what to do. I'm hoping that she knows the city better than I, but she only recently moved here too. So we'll see. :)
