Stolen from my e-mail!

A major research institution has recently announced the discovery of the
heaviest chemical element yet known to science. The new element has been
tentatively named "Governmentium". Governmentium has one neutron, 12
assistant neutrons, 75 deputy neutrons, and 11 assistant deputy neutrons,
giving it an atomic mass of 312. These 312 particles are held together by
forces called morons, which are surrounded by vast quantities of lepton-like
particles called peons. Since Governmentium has no electrons, it is inert.
However, it can be detected as it impedes every reaction with which it comes
into contact. A minute amount of Governmentium causes one reaction to take
over four days to complete when it would normally take less than a second.
Governmentium has a normal half-life of three years; it does not decay, but
instead undergoes a reorganization in which a portion of the assistant
neutrons and deputy neutrons exchange places. In fact, Governmentium's mass
will actually increase over time, since each reorganization will cause more
morons to become neutrons, forming isodopes. This characteristic of
moron-promotion leads some scientists to speculate that Governmentium is
formed whenever morons reach a certain quantity in concentration. This
hypothetical quantity is referred to as "Critical Morass". You will know it
when you see it. Elemental, when you come to think about it.

I knew you'd like that one hon. :)

It occurs to me that you of all people should have an e-mail address at digitalgoth.com... Let me know if you're interested.

Was that not one of the greatest things on that list in a while? This type of thought process is why I miss the Bay. WHHHAAAA!!! Ok, I'm better. I almost want to frame it. How's life out there anyway?

I actually got it from a different list... Note the time on my post and then note the time that the e-mail on the list went out. ;)

Things are good out here. I'm meeting lotsa people and having a good time overall. Starting work on my new website, working in a coffeehouse, and in general just being alive.

How's life back in Abq? Missing having an actual goth scene yet? Or have things drastically improved in the Pulse crowd?

Besides being young, violent, and very backwards, Albuquerque is ok. I was only here for a minute last time I was here, so I wasn't too familiar with it. What I miss is the vague sense of maturity and responsibility that SF goths have. Most of them have real jobs and homes and lives beyond high-school style house parties and clubs.

I did however start a monthly Gothnik out here, and a parents list to keep myself from going insane. If I didn't organize stuff like this, I'd loose my damn mind. But I only plan on being here for a few years, then I'll move back there.

I did manage to score a killer job out here (nope, not Client Logic), so with a few years of experience as a marketing coordinator, designing all forms of advertisement for a real estate firm, I should be able to get a killer job when I get back there.

Good to hear about the job and all. :) That's definitely welcome news. The economy out in the bay area is slowly picking up. I'm running a coffeeshop out here now, as well as a couple websites. Which brings me to my next point: Is there an NMGoth mailing list yet? or a centralized source for NM Goth stuff like there is in sfgoth.com? I am working on a centralized source for this type of stuff at www.digitalgoth.com, and would appreciate any info you have about the dates for upcoming gothnics, events, new clubs, etc.

Yes, there is an NMGoth Yahoo group, with about 300 members, there is also an NMgothparent group, which I started and run, it's small, but it's only a month old. There is a club on Tuesday at Empire called Midian and of course Pulse. Gothnik is the third Saturday of every month (yup, do that one too), the location is based on the weather. Oscilliation is next month, I'll get a date for you. I'll keep you updated as I get more info. :)
