unfair bias
this test is clearly bias against those who are agnostic/unsure/undecided/undeclared/not yes/no

Re: unfair bias
No, it's a measure of how many of my readers consider themselves to be out and out atheists. A national poll with the same question came out with a horrifyingly low 3.9 percent. Now who's the minority?

Re: unfair bias
interesting. i would have worded the quiz differently, if going for that particular result.

i would have asked:

"are you an atheist? only answer yes if you have no belief in divine beings, gods, godlets, spirits, etc..."

they both ask virtually the same question, but the diplomatic factor can be a problem...

i answered yes to the poll, if anyone actually cares, btw.

Re: unfair bias
Actually, the same national poll got different results when it asked people directly if they were atheists. Go check out www.ffrf.org/angier.html

Re: unfair bias
interesting. very interesting. i'll have to think on why that difference is. mmmm semantics. i keep saying it, and eople keep denying it, but semantics matter...

Re: unfair bias
well that wouldn't surprise me, given the support for bush and his clearly non atheist views?

i think i haven't decided. in a physical self i'd say no way but conceptually eh it's sort of an interesting non-emotional way to make ppl behave - kind of like santa clause u know - that invisible incentive - but do i want to go so far as to say i'm atheist? i'm not sure. i mean i could see the vantage point but i'm not sure i'm all that committal when it comes down to it.

i think i sort of like a bit of jewish, some agnostic and some atheist - but i suppose like getting a combo religious deal with those wouldn't work.

i think it's nice to believe in something and to share a community which is the positive aspects of religion. i don't like the closed community or the holier-than-thou-and-thou's-religion views and that's the negative aspects of religions. i mean, how can someone proclaim to be good and at the same time justify killing someone from another religion? that's f*cked up b/c then it's like why have the religion at all except as an excuse.

i think i'm glad i didn't major in theology. i'd probably get kicked out for thinking too much and believing in even less in the end?

Mainly, I believe that goodness exists. Do you call that God? Gods? Dunno. But I think it is a force of sorts and can be tapped into...I think it can take whatever form works for an individual. Even atheism. Is that wishy washy enough for you?
