Ok, so it's been a little over 18 hours since my last cigarette. I'm ok. I can do this. This is permanent.

I'm likely going to be 'journaling' (is that a verb?) a bit more because I'm going to make a conscious effort to make all of what used to be my 'smoking time' into 'journaling time' until Heather gets back from Baja. Then it's all going to become 'Heather time.'

Pop me an email if you need flyers, if you're going to be out. :)

Re:
I passed out that entire big stack that I got from you at Diskotek while at Death Guild last night. I don't think I'm going to be going out much more this week, but I might head to Dark Sparkle for a bit tomorrow night. Possibility, not a certainty.

It's good to know that you are trying to find ways to keep yourself occupied. Good luck!

I'm doing this while Heather is out of town. She doesn't know yet... We'll see how she reacts when she gets back on Valentine's Day night. ;)

Not so helpful advice from your frendly Evercrack dealer
You could start playing EQ again. EQ always had two affects on me -- either it puts me to sleep, or it makes me lose track of time. Either way, I'm not thinking about much else.

Of course, EQ is not exactly the best way to make the most of your time. Now Final Fantasy XI, that's a useful activity.

Re: Not so helpful advice from your frendly Evercrack dealer
Oddly enough, when I was playing Everquest, I had actually dubbed it "Eversmoke" because I found that I smoked about twice as much while I was playing as I would otherwise... It was the losing track of time that did it... I also lost track of when I smoked my last cigarette.

Couple that with the fact that I don't have a computer that will currently run Evercrack, and you've got 2 reasons for me not replace one bad habit with another one just as bad. ;)

When are you quitting by the way?

Re: Not so helpful advice from your frendly Evercrack dealer
I haven't played Everquest in the last three months at least. I've just got people at work dragging me onto Final Fantasy XI instead. Since I can't play it at home (my computer isn't up to the task), I only play at work. That severely limits my play time (at least until I start working 12 hour days again).

Now that I think about it, I certainly ate a lot more Kettle Chips while I was playing EQ. Might be related to that whole 'losing track of time' issue.

*nods* Sounds like the same sort of thing. You really do kinda lose track of the physical things around you. I'm not sure if that's a sign of a good RPG that pulls you in that deeply, or if it's just a sign of human silliness that lets's us get pulled that far into a game that has square trees still...

At least there haven't been any suicide notes recently that blamed things on EQ.
